MASTERTON . FAT LAMB MARKET MASTERTON, November 17. When the fat lamb market opened about three weeks ago the price per lb ranged. from 9d to 9£d, but with the early demand satisfied, the rate dropped/last Friday to. 7d for average 32/33 lb Imbs. This is considered by many to be satisfactory, and represents an: advance of 2ld to 3d on similar lines this time last year. Many farmers, are disappointed at the ruling prices, however and wth the abund- j a nee of feed, farmers in some districts are withholding lambs from the market in the meantime, with the idea of fattening them as much as possible.
