.At the Catholic Cathedral, Barbadpes street, Christchurch on Wednesday morning, the marriage .was celebrated of Eileen Marie, only daughter of the late Mr and Mrs P. F. Fitzgerald. of -Kumara, West Coast,' and irlenry James (X'u-) youngest son of Mr and Mrs A. H. -Seobeck, of Hokitika. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Lather Lordan, of Sumner, assisted by the Rev. Father Finerty, of Hokitika, and Miss K. O’C-oiinor Avas organist.. 'J Jie Avedding aroused much interest amongst Christchurch friends and also on the West Coast, Avhere the biide and bridegroom are 'well kaoAvn Mr M. H. Fitzgerald, of Wellington’ escorted his sister, Mr L. C'allan was best man, and Mr M. Fitzgerald, of Utira, Avas groomsman. 5 The bride wore a beautiful frock of

heavy -ivory ripple satin made with rucking on. the shoulders'trimmed each side With a i-oav of buttons from the elbow -to -the wrist, and flared skirt, Avidening into a long tulle A-eil, embroidered by the Sisters of Notre Dame des 'Missions, Rangiora, fell from a tiny cap outlined with orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of cream and pink roses and cream carnations. .

The bridesmaids were Miss M. Fitzgerald, cousin of the bride, and MissB. S®ebeck J sister of the bridegroom. They Avere frocks of apple gfeen satin, : made with epaulets falling o.ver thelong tight sleeves and 'swathed belts eadi tied, in a Roav at the back. She 1 .ore a : frock of black flanuscl, with iniqhes" of white, and a wide black straw bat .trimmed with a black ribbon bow. caught with a silver ornament. She carried a bouquet of roses, Mrs M. Fitzgerald (Wellington), the bride’s wore a beige crinkle crepe frock, trimmed with rows of red buttons, and a grey hat with touches of red. The hride travelled later in a saxe blue wool cord, suit, worn with a grey georgette blouse and a blue straw hat banded with grey ribbon. • ;Sbe carred a musquash coat.

Mr and Mrs H. J. Seebeck will make their home at Otira.

WELLINGTON, November 15

A wedding that created an extraordinary amount of kindly interest in Wellington was celebrated at St. Paul’s Pro-Cathedral, this afternoon, when Ailsa May, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Noel W. Nelson, of Wellington, and granddaughter of Mr Louis Blundell, senior member of the firm ol Blundell Brothers, proprietors of the “Evening Post,” and Mrs Blundell, was married to Rodney Charles Vosey, only son of Brigadier-General Thomson, C.M.G., D.S.O. and Mrs Tliomson, Kokstal, South Africa. Lieutenant Thomson has been A.D.C. tio the Lord Bledisloe.

SPENCE—CLARKE

A quite and - pretty , wedding was celebrated in St. Andrew’s Church, Hokitika, yesterday afternoon between Mr Alex Spence, eldest son of Mr and Mrs A. Spence Brittan street, Hokitika, to Miss Iris Clarke, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs G. Clarke, Kanieri . The Rev G. Naylor officiat■c d. The bride who entered the church on the arm of her father wore a frock of white satin with wreath and veil,' and carried a. sheaf of lilies. She was attended by Mrs C. Havill, the bridegroom’s sister, as Matron of Honour. Mrs Havill wore' a frock of floral voile, with hat and shoes to tone. Colleen Spence, who was daintily attired in a frock of organdie was the flower girl, and Mr Albert Alderton, of Greymouth, was best man. After the wedding a reception was held at the residence, of the bride’s mother, at Kanieri. Mr and Mrs Alex. Spence later left for the north.
