JEALOUS LOVER’S INSANE ACT. NEW YORK, November 10. Herbert Holland,, aged 17, ended a drama of unrequited love at Ulabain, a remote Arkansas village, this morning, by murdering the 16-year-old girl he loved, hi s rival a nd bis own brother.. Young Holland, who had been insanely in love with Naomi Bailey, walked into the home of Clarence Holland, his brother, where Naomi and William Boatright were seated with Holland at breakfast. Herbert accused his brother of favouring Boatright’s suit for the girl’s hand instead of bis own. Clarence laughed outright when Herbert said, “I should shoot the lot ol you.” Ten minutes later Herbert returned with, a shotgun and killed them as they sat. He then surrendered to the sheriff. A mob surround the gaol threatening to lynch Herbert, while the countryside prepared for the triple funeral.
