DEPENDS UPON FINANCE
SYDNEY, November 12. • Australian cricketers- who miss the trip to .'England may have the satisfaction of getting a trip to New Zealand in February next, writes A. G. Moy-es in the Sydney “Sun.” It all' depends on finance.
'No doubt it would not entirely wipe out the feeling of disappointment, but half a loaf is always better than no bread, arid a tour of New Zealand is a thing of joy. The present situation is that the .board is agreeable to send a side if financial arrangements -are satisfactory, and probably it wil'l have something before it at it s “bodyline” meeting on November 16.
New Zealand understands that men ■chosen for England will not be available, and they are, I believe, agreeable to take a side of -promising players, providing there ape gome former Test players with reputations included. We could field a pretty good side from th e remnant after the fifteen for
England have been chosen, and it would be a- team of possibilities wnh 'enough attractive players to make it a good draw card.
