TRUSTEES’ ANNUAL MEETING. ADDITIONAL TRAINEES WANTED. (Fir Press Association — Copyright.) PALMERSTON NORTH. Nov. 14. At the annual meeting of the trustees of Flock House fund, the chairman (Mr E. Newman), said it was desired to obtain from subscribers to the fund some expression as to whether they were satisfied that the trustees had carried out, what was in their minds, when the fund wa s first raised. Continuing, lie said great difficulty had been experienced in obtaining land of the required type for settling overseas trainees on their own farms. However, twenty-five trainees had been so
placed. Regarding the training of New Zealand boys, Mr Newman said that, unless more boys came forward, the trustees would require to consider closing tile institution as a training centre. After referring to misconceptions relative to eligibility to enter Flock House, the chairman said there was no time like the present for a boy to take up farming. There was little doubt that the slump was' now a thing of the past. Farmers were entering a period of rising prices. Mr Newman wn. s re-elected chairman, and Mr J. Linklater M.P., deputychairman.
