FEDERAL LAMB

PROSPECTS SUFFER A SLUMP. HEAVY SHIPMENTS ANTICIPATED United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.)

(Received this day at 12 noon). . LONDON, November 13

Australian lamb prospects, which recently appeared on the up-grade, slumped; due to the Smithfield expectations of heavy shipments. It is anticipated that Australia will send 800,000 carcases in November, and 600,000 in December, and New Zealand 300,000 and 500,000 respectively. Prices are nominally unchanged, but there is no business. Forward buying has ceased, the market being glutted, despite the restriction of South American supplies.
