BAFFLING CRIME
MURDER OF TAXI-DRIVER. ACTIVITIES OF THE POLICE. (Per Press Association, Copyright). AUCKLAND. October 30. No clue yet obtained by the police has helped to solve the mystery surrounding tihe murder of Air James Hunter Blair, a taxicab driver, who was 'found dying at the wheel nf ins cair in King’s Road, Mount Roskill, early on 'October 15. In .spite of the most diligent search, the weapon with which the murder was committed has not been found, and another baffling feature i s that there was apparently no motive for the crime. An indication of the great amount of work involved in attempting to solve the crime was given yesterday by Superintendent S. Till, who said that seine 1500 people had been interviewed, while about 300 boarding houses and 80 liofels' had been visited in the hope of ipb'thinihg- essential information.
