Ferkins made the mistake of concentrating on Wilde’s backhand. On this Wilde outplayed and outdone Ferkins. ’ In the doubes match between Perry and Wilde, and Malfroy and Ferkins, Malfroy did not try. Ferkins’ hard fighting, saved the match from being a procession. Results were:

Perry beat Malfroy 6—l, 6—T; Wilde beat Ferkins 6—3, 6—o; Perry and Wilde beat Malfroy and Ferkins 6 —4, 6-2. -.
