Owing to the favourable spring experienced up to 'the present, the cattle generally -came forward in good order and condition. -Some outstanding lines -in this -respect were the entries of Messrs Nolan Bros., Gibb Bros., Harris Bros., John Condon and Walter -Scott. Throe-year fat Hereford bullocks realised from £7 \o £8 per head ; threeyear fat heifers from £5 to £7 each; fat cows from £3 10s to £5 10s, -three-year-old store steers from £4 10s to £6 Us 6d, 4yr. fat arid forward steers from £6 15s to £6 17s 6d; 2yr. old Hereford steers from £3 12s 6d to- £4 apiece. j The National Mortgage entry , consisted of 170 head of Hereford and Shorthorn cattle, and the following is a list of sales with prices realised:— Account Messrs Gibb Bros. 35 fat bullocks from £7 5s to £8 each;. 10Mat heifers at £7 apiece. Account Messrs Nolan Bros., Okuru, 25 3yr. , s teers from £5 10s to £5 l-ss, .20 fat and forward heifers 'from £4 to £4 5s apiece, 10. B. and W. '3yr. steers -at £3 10s. A-v | count 'Messrs Harris Bros, Huhuka, 8 1 3yr. Hereford -stiers :at £5 17s 6d ; 17, store Hereford heifers from £3 10s to' £3 16s each. Account Walter Scott,!
