—; UNEMPLOYED BUILDING SCHEME CHRISTCHURCH, October 24. Reference to the alleged abuses of the Unemployment Board's building subsidy scheme is contained in a letter received from Mr W. Bromley, a member of the Board, by the secretary of the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters. Mr Bromley points out that the blame for unfair advantage being taken of certain aspects of the scheme cannot wholly be attributed to the employing authorities, as there were cases of 'workers themselves having entered into collision with employers to evade restrictions.
