Buckingham, the eldest member of the M.C.C., who is making his thirty-'fi.'th visit (to New Zealand, trout fishing. He said the cricket relations between England and Australia were quite cordial despite tlie recent storm. He was confident that England would retain the Ashes, owing to the entry of several young, promising players into the picture, notably Langridge, Valentine and Walters.
