NEW YORK, October 23. , A message from Laurel says that, y accompanied by his stablemate, Trevallion, Winoolta reeled off a smashing half mile in 47 l-ssec. This was his final workout for the challenge purse on Wednesday. At least three American horses will match strides with Wifinooka in the challenge race, and if the track is fast, there may be cne or two more. Goldstep, Character and Pair by Pair are considered certain, starters. The track conditions will determine whether Oakpi or Kernpatch also run. A WIN FOR GOLDEN HORN. MELBOURNE, October 24.
