OBITUARY

The death occurred at the Reefton Hospital yesterday, of William Shaw, aged 52, a native of Whaugarei. He is survived by Ills wife, three sisters, and one brother. He Had been a resident of the district for 30 years, and was wellknown in the mining industry. He had been in bad health for a considerable time. The death occurred at his reddence, Bright Street, Cobden on Monday morning, ‘of Thomas O’Donnell, a native of Baleylooby, Tipperary, Ireland,- aged 75 years. The deceased, came to the West Coast in 1885, and followed thq occupation of a miner at Rutherglen until 1882, when he tcok up contracting. . He leaves a rvidow and a grown-up family, also one biother John, of Wellington.
