OUTBREAK AT WAIPUIvURAU

The northern end of the Wiapukurau railway bridge was discovered ablaze by a milkman *at six o’clock this morning. The alarm was sounded and tije Fire Brigade quelled the outbreak with buckets and n hand pump. The tops of three piles 'were burned, together with a sill and centre cap. Temporary repair.? were,,.made in time to permit . the southward , ex-, press to pass through.
