STRIKE COLLAPSES
MEAT WORKERS IN VICTORIA.
(Australian Press Association),
(Received this day at 12 noon). MELBOURNE, October 24
The strike at the export meatworks in the metropolitan area collapsed when the slaughtermen and labourers affected decided, by a large majority, to accept the conditions outlined by the exporters. These conditions include the team system of killing. It is not likely that- many strikers will be re-engaged, as most of the volunteers are already well established at the various works.
