The Wellington Racing Club’s spring meeting wa s continued at Trentham to-day. The weather after -heavy rain during the night and in the early morning broke clear for macing, conditions being fine. The track was in first class order after the downpour, but the going was °n the dead side. The attendance was large. The tote was £23,952 10s, against £20,051 for the same day last year, an increase of £3,901 10s. The judicial committee found that L. J. Ellis on Eupatoi', caused interference to Sir Nigel and Ralphylliis in the Nile Trio] Stakes and unanimously decided to suspend him for one month for careless riding. Results :

A message from Laurel states that Jamestown’s trainer to-day announced that he -would run next Wednesday in . the Winooka 1 challenge race, provided that the track was fast enough. This is in addition to the announcement of the WinookaEquipoise race. If Winooka wins, it is expected to add considerable interest to the event. The Australian horse worked this I morning, on a slow track. He went three-quarters of a mile in 1.17 2-5. The first half-mile was run in fifty seconds. —Mraa— mmmmmmnwmm
