Preparations.fontho London County CouncTs £35,000,000 shun clearance and housing scheme are now completed. The timber contracts alone, it is anticipated, will amount to £1,500,000. About 190,000,000 feet of wood will be required for. the floors and other constructional work. Preference will be given to British and Empire sources of supplies, a particular opportunity being provided for Canadian timber.
