EFFORTS TO REMOVE DEFICIT. WIDESPREAD OPPOSITION. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). 'PARIS, October 18. The Budget proposals have aroused much opposition. Civil servants, war veterans, motoris-s, and all classes of taxpayers are strongly protesting. A veterans imeo’ting resolved .'to fight the reductions in pensions until the •Government made departmental economies. These protests are expected to have repercussions in the Chamber, jeopardising the passage of the Finance Bill.
