POISON ALLEGED

ENGLISHMAN'S WIFE IN JAPAN

SEQUEL TO IGNORED WARNING?

(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright).

LONDON, October 19,

j Professor Taid O’Conroy, who has j just published a book on Japan (i n I which he says Japan has designs on | Australia and New Zealand, as well as China and Russian territory) states: “I fear that my wife has been poisoned. She assisted me in the collection of data for my book, while I was absent studying strange secret groups. Eighteen months ago a member of a notorious secret society, call!ed The Dragon Society, broke into j her room one night, and he intimated that it would be better for us to leave Japan. We departed, she accompanying me to Marseilles, whence, despite the risk, she returned to Japan in order to keep me informed of events. Later she sent a note saying that she feared kidnapping. Recently I received a letter saying that she was in bed with severe internal in'!ins, I have not heard a word of her. since. Possibly she has been poisoned. It is terribly worrying as I cannot communicate with her.”
