NELSON, October 20.

The -'Bishop c-f Nelson, Dr Stdtier,' ha.s given notice to the Archbishop, of hi s impending resignation. He finds it necessary to leave New Zealand at the end of March,' but has asked the Archbishop to ‘.accept hi s resignation as from 30th 'June. The resignation is due to physical incapacity. He is no longer -able" to do the necessary travelling.

The Standing’ Committee of Nelson .diocese -paid a grateful tribute to the Bishop’s lhagnificent record of his episcopate. The. diocese had been greatly blessed.
