SUPERANNUATED SERVANTS. COMPETING FOR POSITIONS. (Per Press Association—Copyright). DUNEDIN, October 20. At the Harbour Board yesterday Mr R. S. Thomson moved that a remit be sent to the Harbour Boards’ Association recommending local bodies to refuse to engage the services of superannuated public servants receiving over £3OO annually. He stated that superannuated men, drawing large pensions, were competing with the genera] public. The remit was carried.
