ULM ARRIVES
IN RECORD TIME TO AUSTRALIA UNDER 7 DAYS. (Australian Press Association). (Received this day at 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, October 20. Amalgamated Wireless have received a message that Ulm landed safely at Derby at 12.15 o’clock this morning, "Western Australian time in the “Faith in Australia.” They took six days, seventeen hours forty minutes. Thus Ulm and his companions have beaten Kingsford Smith’s record by 11 hours, two minutes. A message was received from Ulm, stating that ho intended to leave Derby in the afternoon to fly non-stop to Sydney. All the party are fit and very jubilant. They were dressed in shirts and shorts. PLANE DELAYED BY MUD. BATAVIA, October 19 Sourabaya reports state 'that Ulna's plane arrived there to-day at 6.25 a.m. local time. The Vacuum Oil Company has received ,a message from Mr Ulm stating that he expects to arrive at Derby tonight. There i s every possibility of Ulm’s continuing his flight from Sydney to New Zealand.
