The “D’aily Mail” publishes a lengthy statement that Chancellor Hitler made to Mr Ward Price, which is described as the most explicit the Chancellor has yet made. Mr Price asked: “What is your answer to the charge that Germany’s armaments are greater than officially admitted, that yon have war materials in Holland, Sweden and elsewhere ?” Herr Hitler replied: ‘ ‘How can these munitions exist, -when every single gun i n Germany is known, and it is incredible that these foreign reserves should exist unnoticed P”
Mr Price i “Does Germany intend to recover the Polish Corridor ?” Herr Hitler answered : “No , sane person would believe that the Corridor is one of the greatest achievements of the Peace Conference, but nobody iii Germany thinks wo are going to war with Poland thereover.”
Answering further questions, Herr Hitler said: “We shall never go to war to get our colonies back. We are f [ convinced we are as'capable as any - I other nation in administering and deJ veloping colonial territories, but we i ' regard this as a matter of negotiation. The German Government is i working neither for a monarchy or a. , republic, but solely to improve the t ■ condition of the German people. Wo ;j lost the . war and we are manly ' enough to recognise that we must bear ; ' (the consequences*.
