OF KINGSFORD SMITH’S TIME.

On his arrival at Calcutta early yesterday, TJlm’s plane was 24 hours ahead of Sir C. Kingsford Smith’s time. SEVEN HOURS AHEAD. (Received this day at 10.15 a.m.) SINGAPORE, October 18. Ulm left for Sourabaya at 7.15 in the evening, local time, seven hours ahead of Smith’s record. He stated it depends on the speed of his getaway from Sourabaya whether he can break the record but he has not much hope.
