NEW AMBASSADOR
SOCIALISTS CLAIMS.

The new ambassador, Sir Eric Phipps, presented his credentials to the President, von Hindenburg, who implied agreeing that international co-operation was necessary at the present and in the future. He assured the ambassador of his anxiety for friendly Anglo-German relations.

HITLER'S OUTBURST

The British United Press correspondent at Berlin reveals that Hitler last night told a Nazi meeting that Germany wants to attend no conferences, make no alliance, adhere to n° conventions, and sign nothing until full equality is granted.

“WHY NOT ACCEPT PLAN?”

“We are deaf to no word, but are blind to no act,” said M. Daladier, briefly replying to Herr Hitler on the re-opening of the Chamber. “Why, if Germany desired an understanding, did it cause a rupture ? Why oppose Control, when ready to destroy everything to the last rifle and machine gun? Why not accept a loyal, sincere plan of progressive reduction of armaments?” ,
M. Daladier added that, France intends to remain true, whatever happens, to a policy of collaboration, and examine in that spirit the situation which not only concerns France and Germany, but the world. France.’s past moderation land . sacrifices precluded bargaining for concessions. The Government would. continue to defend the great interests of .Franco and peace.
NEW POLITICAL PARTY BILL
PRAGUE, October 17
Following the recent banning of Nazis and German Nationalists, the Government has introduced .a Bill suspending any political party compromising the political form of the Republic. The members of such parties will lose their seats in Parliament and may be transferred from one district to another. HITLER’S REQUEST. (Received this day at 10.15 a.m.) BERLIN, October ]B. At a conference of Nazi leaders, Herr Hitler offered reconciliation to his former political opponents, F they supported the Nazi foreign policy. Hitler said the plebiscite should reunite the nation, provided opponents stand for German honour, peace and love.
