As a distinct departure from enervating .“drawing room drama,” the lightning fast motorboat thriller, "Fast Life,” is oifered at the Princess Theatre this evening, an exceptionally strong cast headed by William Haines and Madge Evans. Scenes of the boat race's filmed at Catalina Island and in the Los Angeles Harbour show highpowered craft pounding, over the waves at close to 100 miles per hour, Oamora.s were mounted on speedboats to follow the racers, which g.ve.s.’the spectator the game effect r s though lie were actually riding in the race. William Haines portrays “Sandy,” the mech-anic-inventor who develops plans for the new engine. Cliff Edwards has a hilarious comedy role as Haines’ assistant) who is eontinnal’y messing th'ngs up throughout the pictuie. 'M|adge Evans is cast as the daughter of a racing boat builder who ruins himself financially trying to build craft for the international races.. A good supporting programme will also be shown.
