RIDERS DECLARED INELIGIBLE

WELLINGTON, October 17.
The New Zealand.... Council to_day resolved that the Wellington Centre 'be advised that F. Grose, T. Grose, Stevens, Pearl and Lancaster are ineligible to compete in the Palm-erston-Wellington road race o,n Sfeiturday, as they have completed at unregistered meetings; that the Papanui Amateur Cycling Club be suspended, and the Club asked to show cause why its 'affiliation should not. be cancelled fo>’ the reason that it conducted unregistered meetings ; 'that the attention o f all officials and riders be drawn to the fact that it is an offence nndpr the rules to compete in unregistered meetings, fop example, meetings or event s conducted by the New Zealand League of Amateur Wheelmen and the Papanui Club ; ■and that it is am offence to take part in races in which unregistered rider s •compete.
