WELLINGTON, October 18
The Dairy Board lias been advised of the following results in the colonial section of the London dairy Show. Cheese—27 entries, eighteen from New Zealand, seven from Australia, and two from South Africa.
First,- and Hansen and Bledisloe Colonial and. New Zealand Cups, Kelso Dairy Company of Otago, New Zealand.
Second, and reserve Hansen and Bledisloe Colonial cup, Downs Dairy Company, Lilvvale, Queensland. Third and reserve Bledisloe New Zealand Cup, Awarua Dairy Company Southland, New Zealand. '
Fourth, Fairfax Dairy Coy, Southland.
Highly commended Waianiwa Dairy Coy, Southland, Downs ' Dairy Coy,, Wvreema, Queensland. Commended, Wright’s Bush Dairy Cot’., Southland; Lowgarth Dairy Coy., Taranaki; KingweU' Company, South Africa; Warrnainbooi Dairy Co., Victoria. ' '' : •
It was announced in July of this year that- Lord Bledisloe had presented two ..handsome and valuable trophies for tile cheese exhibition at the National Dairy Show which’ is held at London in October every year.
One of the trophies is for the best cheese produced in any Empire country and the other for the best cheese among entries from New Zealand alone. The New Zealand trophy is also regarded as the district prize, the districts for the purpose being Auckland, Wellington, Hawkes Ray, Taranaki, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland. - , : *
