MONTHLY MEETING OF BOARD

WELLINGTON, October 17

At the monthly meeting of the Rural Intermediate Credit Board, Commissioner J. W.‘ Macdonald, submitted a ■report on tW conference between the principal .district representatives of the Board, and the executive officers of the .head office A number of the recommendations were agreed to, including one which gave delegates to the district boards power to limited extent, to approve postponement of principal payments. The Board approved of the extension ol power to district organisations m re-advancing proceeds of stock and produce sold, subject to limits as to the amounts '.involved, and certain necessary safeguards. It further approved of a proposal of district supervisors, in respect oi loans granted by the Board direct to farmers.
