RIMU CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING.

The annual meeting of the llinni Cricket Club was held in the Town Hall last week, there being a large attendance of members.

The election of officers resulted — Patron. Mr J. O’Brien, M.P.; president, Mr D. Ryan; vice-presidents, Messrs W. Boyd, S, Hvndman, H. Screen, W. Haddow, J. Devaneyj club captain, Mr J. O’Connor; delegate, Mr S. Ogilvie; selection committee, Messrs T. Knowles, C. Ogilvie and J. O’Connor; treasurer, Mr T. Knowles; secretary, Mr J. Smith. The subscription was fixed at 5/-. It was decided to open the season on October 22.

BOARD AND M.C.C.’s REPLY,

It was announced late last night that a special meeting of the Board of Control will take place within twentyeight days to discuss the reply by Marylebone to the Board’s last cable on the cricket controversy. It was stated that five members of the Board had signed a requisition for such a meeting.
