LINKING N.Z, WITH BRITAIN GOVT TO CONTRIBUTE TO COST (Per Press Association—Copyright). WELLINGTON, Octc/ber 15.
A step was taken by the Cabinet on Saturday which definitely iooks forward to a time when New Zealand will be linked by direct air service with Britain. It was decided to make a contribution by this country towards the cost of an air mail service, which is about to bo commenced from Britain to Sydney, via Karachi, even without any air service across Tasman Sea.
It is estimated that if good connections arc made this will reduce by no less than 17 days the period of transit between England and New Zealand.
N.Z TO CONTRIBUTE £SOOO

The Government has decided to contribute £SOOO towards the cost and maintenance of the air mail service from England to Australia.
