OBITUARY

The death took placer at her residence, Omoto Road, on Saturday morning of Mrs Katherine McKendry, at the age of 85 years. A native of Melbourne, the late Mrs McKendry came to New Zealand as a child, and for the past 57 years had resided at Omoto. She had been ailing only a week. Her husband, Denis McKendry, predeceased her some twenty years ago. She is survived by seven daughters, Mesdames W. Jackson (Cobden), Partelow (Auckland), J. Budge (Auckland), E. Sharpe (Auckland), O’Hehir (Sydney), and Misses M. McKendry (Wellington), (and A.. McKendry (Christchurch) ; also three sons, Peter and William (Greymouth), and John (Oamaru). ;
