THEFT CHARGE

LARGE AMOUNT INVOLVED.

CHRISTCHURCH, October 13

Theft of a quantity of iron between February, 1530, and September, 1933, valued at £955, the property of Joint Lysaght, Limited, was the charge preferred against James Baden Hamilton Pett, a storeman, aged 33, this morning. The chief detective said Pett was arrested yesterday. The information was subject to amendment, and that the amount involved would probably reach four figures. Accused was remanded to October 17.
