FLIGHT RESUMED
FASTER FLIGHTS YET FORECAST. (Australian Press Association). SYDNEY, October 13. A message from Wyndham states Sir 0. Kingsford Smith left there at 8.7 a.in. local time. He expects to reach Brisbane on Saturday, Sydney on 'Sunday and Melbourne next Monday. Kingsford Smith, in the course of a speech on the occasion, declared that Wyndham lias outstanding claims as the first- port of entry for aeroplanes from overseas as it is one hundred miles closer than Dar- j win, and needs the crossing of three hundred miles less water than the Darwin route. He added that his record i.s bound to be shattered by competitors in the Centenary Air Race, but be thought that the machine which would beat bis record would

|RUGB V . October 11. Mr Instonc, Director of Imperial Airways, announced th a t it was hoped to -operate a complete England to Australia air mail within ten or twelve -months. He added they were actively investigating a projected Atlantic air mail to connect- with the. -air mail Systems of North America.

RECORD PARACHUTE JUMP.
MOSCOW, October 11
: Evseyev; a senior pilot in the Red Army’s experimental branch, claims a world record for a delayed parachute jump. He leaped at 23,400 feet. He fell for 1324 seconds, 'in which time he descended 22,912 feet, before opening the parachute. He says that the temperature when he jumped was sixty degrees below zero.

It is learned that Amy Mollison is in a local hospital, under observation for her nervous condition. Officials decline to state any details.

EIGHT DEAD IN RUSSIAN CRASH
MOSCOW 7 , October 11. Five high Soviet’ officials, heads of the aviation and other industries, were killed when their plane crashed at Lopasnia Station, n the Moscow district.
Mine Bamlioff, the wife of one of the officials, and the -pilot and the mechanic of the aeroplane, were also killed.
The -dead officials are:—
M. Ba.ranoff, head -of the aviation .industry and Assistant Commissar of Heavy Industry. M. Golznian, chief of Civil Aviation. M. Gorbunpff, director of Plant N°. 23 (a -military -aviation factory). M. Zaz-U', Assistant Chief of Civil AHstjon.
