The professional board of Massey Agricultural College has nominated M. M. Cooper, and W. M. Hamilton for Jtliodes scholarships for 1934.
Copper, who is from Havelock North, is aged 23, and is sitting this vear Tor the final of his B. Ag-iv Sc. degfee. He lias taken a prominent port? in college activites, and represented i-Manawatu-Manawheiiu-a at Rugby in- 1932 and 1933. He is the first agricultural college student to obtain a New Zealand .varsity rugby ‘blue.’ Hamilton, aged 24, is from Walkworth, and in 1939 was awarded a gold medal, as the leading student in the dairy farming course, and in 1932 won the Lord Bledisloe prize. This year he is going for the filial of his B. Agr. Sc. degree. He has also been prominent in college activities, being captain of the hockey club. These are the first nominations from Massey College.
