MOVEMENT FOR ROTARY. HAMILTON, Sep. 27. A welcome was given Mr T. 0. List, district governor of Rotary for New Zealand, oy members of tlie Hamilton Rotary Club. In an address to the club, Mr List inaae a strong appeal to all ltotarians to interest themselves in the crippled children of the country. The care ol crippled children would -be his policy during his term of office, he said, and before definite plans were submitted he asked the Hamilton members to obtain information of the crippled children ol the district and to consider schemes for developing their mental and spiritual welfare. Mr List said he desired to see as many of these children as possible absorbed in industry and an interest taken in their welfare. Ho referred to the work that was being done for cripples in America, and quoted instances of successful surgical treatment that was being given them in New Zealand. The speaker asked Rotm-ians to pool their resorces and endeavour to devise suggestions which would help the Government in solving the unemployment problem, especially as far as it concerned young people. The Americans. he said, were tremendously interested when he told them of the work of Mr D. V. Bryant and MrH. Valder, of Hamilton. Referring to his experiences in America, Mr List said America entertained a very high opinion of New Zealanders as the result of their contact with Dominion soldiers and visiting Rotnrians. A yreat work had been done hv Mr F. Milner, in placing before Americans in a series of wonderful addresses the viewpoint of Groat Britain toward world aiTairs. His address at the Bos-; ton conference, at which 10,Off) Rotarians were present, was the outstanding feature of the conference. Mr Milner ; wr,s received with tremendous enthr,siasm and he made a profound impression. .
