THREE CLYDESDALES ARRIVE. AUCKLAND, .Sept. 2G. Three pedigree Clydesdale stallions were brought by. the motor-ship .Port Alma, which arrived at Auckland from Glasgow and Liverpool. The horses will be .landed at Dunedin. Two of the animals, Roseprint and Craigie Crest, are two-year-olds and the other horse, Birkhall Hiawatha, is four years of age. Roseprint and Birkhall Hiawatha are owned by Mr T. Logan, also of Otago. Mr Hamilton was a passenger on the vessel and attended to the horses during the voyage, which was. an exceptionally fine one. Tile animals arrived in splendid condition. The breeding of horses was on the increase in Great Britain an,d there was a considerable demand for good working type animals, said Mr Ham.iltion. He stated that the prices of pedigree Clydesdale horses had increased to a large extent, as the animals were in great demand by overseas buyers.
