EVERYBODY’S PICTURES. TO-NIGHT AND SATURDAY. “THE PENQUIN POOL MURDER.” When Stuart Palmer wrote “The Penguin Pool Murder” and conceivc-d its occurrence in the New York Aquarium, he provided Hollywood with the ideal murder mystery plot. The story has a wealth of thrills deftly interwoven with high-powered laughs, which have been faithfully elaborated in RKORadio Pictures’ film version, now at the Princess Theatre. The picture belongs to that delightful actress, Edna May Oliver. She lifts it in those long, capable arms and carries it jauntily at the head of the parade. Trailing closely behind, abreast of her at times, are James Gleason, Robert Armstrong, Mae Clarke, Donald Cook, and Clarerre Hummel Wilson. 'What a procession! Imagine Miss Oliver as a school teacher tuned sleuth, working hand in hard with James Gleason, a police inspector, toward the solution of an amazing murder, and you have a slight perception of the laughs and" thrills “The Penguin Pool Murder” has in store for you.
