, Oliver James Wakelin, of Halswell, pleaded guilty to a charge'of selling milk below standard on July 4. He was fined £5 and costs. “Suspicion fell upon ten other suppliers as a result of defendant’s action, and it has cost the department £l4 to get this far and sheet the matter home,” said the inspector (Mr J. W. Huggins). “Twenty-four samples had to be taken to' trace where the watered milk was coming from. Four cans of milk were ready to be collected, and four samples showed that water had been added.”
