Gold was quoted at 132 s .per ounce fine, in London yesterday, RUGBY, September 25. The Paris exchange rate on sterling is 7i> 9-16 francs to £l. The price of gold at London has to-day- increased by BJ-.d per ounce io £6 12s 9d per ounce. It thus shows a premium of 7td on the French franc. RECORD AT SYDNEY. SYDNEY, September 20. The current price of gold in Australia is the highest on record. The prices fixed by the Commonwealth Bank for gold received for the week ended September 22 were £7 10s 2d per standard ounce, and £8 3s lOd per fine ounce. .Sovereigns are quoted at 38s 2d. This is also the highest price on record.
