A CONFERENCE
OF POWER BOARDS (Per Press Association Copyright .) WELLINGTON, September 25. The annual conference of- the New Zealand Power Board and Supply Authority Engineers Association opened this morning. In welcoming- the delegates the President, Mr G. Lauchlan, remarked that, despite difficult times, the electrical industry had developed and must continue to do so. Declaring the .conference *• open, the j?layor, Mr Histop, said the industry fvas potentially the .biggest in New Zealand. Discussion .took place on t-the subject of radio interference and the means of reducing stVcli trouble. ( . The Conference gave hearty support to a report by a special committee set up at last conference recommending that legislation be sought for drawing up and enforcing suitable regulations. Mr Lauchlan said it was 1 suggested! that the P. and T. Department should be the clearing house for interference complaints, and should investigate them and allocate the responsibility for remedying , them, or for improving the position, co-operating :as far as possible with the electrical supply and tramway authorities and the users of electrical equipment. ••
