WESTLAND SUB-UNION The weekly meeting of the executive took place last evening. Present Messrs 3. Stafford (cha rman) McClcrrv, Cutbush, Lawn, Stopforth and Keen an. The chairman welcomed back Mr Lawn after his recent illness. • South Westland sub-union wrote regretting inability to play a rep. game this year. From Ross Club asking for date to be fixed for the Graham Wise game between Ross juniors and Kumara. Referred to W.C.R. Union. Excelsiors were declared the winners of the senior one round competition. Mr McGregor referred to the Westland Racing Club proposal to lay down a sports and football field at the race course, and use of stands and appointments. ft was resolved, after discussion that members of the sub-union meet the executive of the Racing Club on Saturday afternoon, at 3 o,clock at the race course to confer in regard to the proposals and suggested improvements.
