AN OUTRAGE
ATTEMPT TO MURDER FATHER AND SON FIRED AT LONDON, September 22. Three men fired five shots -at- a Mr 'Newell and his son Janies at Belfast ,'and then escaped in a motor-car driven by a woman. The father’s macintosh was pierced in two places yet he escaped injury. Last year two armed men raided the Newell house and refused to recognise a sentence of eighteen minths’ ’.m----p-risonment passed by the Antrim Court, as they were soldiers of the Irish Republican Army.
