Making its first appearance since its return from America, Scott I ainc s Miss Britain 111 caught lire in Poole Harbour, when attempting to break Seagrave’s record, in the presence of thousands of spectators. When traversing, the course at. eighty miles an hour, the engine burst into flames. Scott Paine and his mechanic fought the five with extinguishers, and dozens of motor boats rushed to their aid and subdued the flame. The engine and rear portion were burned out, but the hull is intact. i
