BALLOON CRASHES
RESCUE FROM THE SEA. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received this day at 10.25 a,m.) LONDON, Sep. 24. A German .balloon, ojie of six participating in a long distance flight which left Dusseldorl at five in the evening of September 23rd, drifted over the North Sea, where the gas bag was punctured. Three occupants threw overboard everything moveable, but it struck the water nfc Berwick at .noon. They were dragged to the beach in a heavy wind, an, despite thirty spectators seizing a drag rope, the balloon hit the sea wall. Dr Dieckmann, a veteran balloonist, who had made 130 trips, was injured.
