A boycott of, German products by United States labour was held to be probable on‘Saturday by William Green, president of the American Federation of Labour, in a statement describing Hitler rule as “mediaeval, revolting and sickening,” and . saying German terrorism was resulting in an open war on trade unions. Green added that American labour was becoming convinced that something more than a protest was needed for dealing with the Nazis, and “wo are coming to the conclusion that a boycott is the only thing to bring home to German tyranny, abhorrence of their rule by the rest of the world.”
