A NEW FILM

JEWS FORCED TO ACT. ARBITRARY PROCEEDINGS. LONDON, September 10. It is possible now, says the Berlin correspondent of the Times, to disclose the truth of the incident in Grenadier Strasse, a mean street in the Jewish quarter of Berlin, on August 11, when uniformed Nazis and policement compelled unwilling Jews to participate jn crowd scenes for a film. The scene purported to represent the march of a storm detachment under Horst Wossel’s leadership. Jews, including four rabbis, were forced to climb on roofs, give hostile crjes and gestures and throw pieces of cork, simulating stones at the marchers. The filming took thre hours, owing to the necessity for repetitions due to the innocence of the Jews, who gave the Nazi instead of the Communist salute ,which the officials demanded in order, to ensure plausibility. Other Jews were compelled, under threats of internment, to participate in the studio scenes.
