NEW DICTIONARY. (United Press Association—By F.uotrio Telegraph —Copyright) LONDON, September 22. The New Oxford (English Dictionary, which has been in process of publication since 1884, is the largest dictionary in the world. It has now been brought up to date by the publication of a supplement. The last volume of the main body of the dictionary was published in 1928, but in the work, which represents a complete scientific dictionary of the- English language, a supplement was essential to cover words introduced into the language as n result of modern developments in many fields. Flying, motoring, wireless. and cinematography are obvious examples. iSuch developments were practically unknown when the first letters of the alphabet were dealt wuh in the dictionary.
