It is some 40 years since rain caused the postponement of races here. GERALDINE RACES. OPART, Sep. 21. The Geraldine Racing Club’s spring meeting opened on-the-Oran racecourse to-day, the weather conditions being [ entirely favourable, and the track in excellent condition after the recent rain. There is a representative attendance. Results: — First Hurdles—2/2 Don Jose 1; 1/1 Tea Garden 2; 6/4 Advance Camp 3. All started ; won by three quarters of a length; six -lengths. Time 2 ~50. Cup—2/2 • Ranelagh 1; 1/1 Chrysol-/ ogy ijj&f3/3'- Maritan Chief 3. All starts ed. Ipm by a length and a half; abd-' five lengths. Time 2.8 3-5. Trot-—6/6Marie Celeste 1;. 8/11 Clem Dawe 2; 4/4 Well Wrack. Scr, Titiri'' Guy, Junior. Won by tliree lengths,' and four lengths. f Time 3.24 1-5.
