Tile Inter-State conference of racing authorities held at Sydney to deal with illegal betting, recommends the Government to legislate against the use of telephones for betting shops, the prohibition. of broadcasting or publication of betting odd s until the’ completion of the day’s 'racing; also professional tipping bv newspapers which exist solely for that purpose.
